This character was textured with Photoshop. The maps created for this model include a color/diffuse map, specular map, and a displacement map. The seams were painted over with Deep Paint. The maps were used with a Blinn Shader and rendered in Maya with Mental Ray. The challenge on a large character like this one is trying to keep the uv's and texture maps from distorting at areas like the elbows and knees when they bend.
